RIVERSIDE: Robert Presley Detention Center Nurse Arrested Following Month Long Investigation, Booked at Same Facility

On April 21, 2014, investigators assigned to the Robert Presley Detention Center Gang Investigations Unit initiated an investigation regarding a cellular phone seized from an inmate housed within the facility.  The investigation led to information of a Detention Health Services nurse unlawfully communicating with an inmate, having unlawful sexual contact with an inmate, and smuggling the cellular phone into the facility.

On May 28, 2014, investigators arrested Michelle Jaren Hayashi, 35 years, who is a resident of the city of Temecula.  Hayashi was found to unlawfully possess a cellular phone and non-prescribed Schedule 4 medication within the jail facility.

Hayashi was arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
